# PeakPact Elite — AI Usage Disclosure **Effective date:** 17 September 2026 ## What AI is used for PeakPact Elite uses **OpenAI gpt-4o** (Elite Mode) to compose short coaching / automation messages such as momentum, recovery, competitive, and gentle-exit prompts. Audio transcription, when used, uses **gpt-4o-transcribe**. ## Failure behavior (Elite Mode) If the OpenAI API key is missing or the provider call fails, PeakPact Elite **does not** silently invent a successful coach response. Server editorial/coach endpoints return an error (HTTP **503**). Client surfaces may show an error or a clearly local, non-AI template — never a fake “AI success” payload. ## What is sent to the model Typical context fields only: - Message type and intensity - Current streak (numeric) - Optional ladder reset hours - Locale / language code We instruct the model **not** to use guilt, shame, threats, medical advice, or personal names. Safety filters reject certain unsafe outputs. ## What AI is not - Not a licensed coach, therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor - Not a guarantee of performance outcomes - Not autonomous decision-making over your account finances or legal rights - Not used to make solely automated legal/significant decisions about you without human-capable recourse ## Transparency You can disable automation notifications in Settings. We monitor regulatory guidance and will update classifications if product capabilities change.
